How To Be A Leader
I’ve asked numerous groups to give me the name of someone they saw as a great leader and the most common replies are - Winston Churchill and Richard Branson!
I’m not sure what that tells you, except that the idea of a “ leader “ is as broad as the idea of a Manager. In fact, it’s probably even less well defined.
Some people think a great leader is born, someone with natural charisma or authority.
I think this is overestimated. I believe leadership is a way of behaving which you can learn and develop like any other skill ( but then I would say that, I’m a trainer ).
Is there any difference between Leadership and plain old Management?
If you’re in a position where people see you as a leader, how should you behave? How do you influence and motivate people so that they follow you?
All this and more will be discussed in this course on how to be a leader.
- the difference between management and leadership
